Bumble Bee Atlas

Nebraska Bumble Bee Atlas is a statewide community science project aimed at tracking and conserving Nebraska’s native bumble bees. Anyone can get involved in this pollinator conservation effort! Nebraska ishome to 20 species of bumble bees that play a critical role in sustaining the health of our environment. Nebraska provides suitable habitat for both eastern and western species, each defining their own color patterns, natural history, and habitat associations.
